~Environment

We should be exploring ways to reduce our needs on non-renewable resources that harm our local environment.  Climate change poses a real and urgent danger to our society, economy and environment.  We need to be educating, manufacturing and producing clean renewable energy in our cars, homes and business’.  We need to be working with our citizens to install solar panels, create and sustain wind energy and be cautious of what chemicals and trash that we are creating which end up in our local landfills.  I pledge to work with local recycling programs around the district to grow our awareness of the programs.  I will encourage our state government to urge the federal government to create new incentives for recycling and become more frugal on waste.
